As a Boise wedding photographer, I have noticed that “micro weddings” are about to be a thing of the past, this spring weddings are about to get bigger! Destinations as well as the parties are about to get a major upgrade. There is so much to cover with these amazing spring wedding trends and inspiration. I hope you are ready to get inspired!
Travel
Destination weddings are back! Travel is more available than ever, so if you are like me and love to see new places, then you will love this trend. Airlines have made a lot of changes in the past decade to make your flight more safe and and comfortable.
If you’re not comfortable with travelling far, one big trend that doesn’t seem to be going away soon is bringing the destination to your guests. The wedding party stays close by, but there is authentic food and entertainment to transform the venue into something special and different.
Larger Gatherings
For a while the trend has been to keep gatherings small and intimate. But larger gatherings are coming back! Inviting all your friends, family and co-workers makes for an inclusive and exciting wedding day. For your Spring wedding, invite just about everyone you know, I promise it will make for a good time!
With larger groups you may have to think a bit more strategically with seating and comfortable distancing. Outdoor weddings with spread out seating is a great way to achieve this. You may have different zones for a lounge area, tables and chairs, and a bar with a few stools.
Spring Wedding Florals
A gorgeous trend that will be here for a while is brides opting for more greenery in their wedding bouquet than florals. This gives your florals a more timeless and elegant look. And surprisingly, there is a lot you can do with just greenery! Ask your florist what greenery they carry and how you can best pair different types. Add a few florals to tie in your wedding colors and you have yourself your dream bouquet!
You can also go with a monochromatic floral theme. Honestly, it’s gorgeous! Picture varying blues in your wedding bouquet, some sky blue and some dark. Take a look at these beautiful bouquets for some ideas.
Spring Wedding Colors
Neutrals are here to stay, but one thing is different, a pop of color. It’s so easy to put together a palette using colors like beige and white. But, it’s also important to have that one color to set you apart. Just as with florals, one color is all it takes! You can strategically place that color amidst all the neutrals, such as in the floral arrangement or in a backdrop!
Spring wedding trends can be so much fun! But be sure to find a wedding photographer that you love and can trust to capture all those details you are planning. Let me know what your Spring wedding plans are for photography!
