Throughout the year, I look forward most to getting to meet new people and tell their love stories. Kara and Dan’s chic Cascade Lake engagement session was the definition of pure bliss. These two love birds were an absolute dream to work with, and so much fun. I love when my couples can just enjoy themselves and be in the moment – just like these two did! Being a Boise wedding photographer just gets better and better.

Cascade Lake Engagement Session Outfits

While exploring the beautiful landscape surrounding Cascade Lake, Kara and Dan kept their first outfits simple. Wearing neutral toned tops and jeans, it provided a great casual outfit for exploring and getting comfortable in front of the camera. Kara and Dan were so sweet together, and looked so genuinely happy together. It was an absolute joy to see. While the couple wore their more casual outfits, we were able to capture them climbing rocks together, walking the forest, and Kara even jumped on Dan’s back at one point!

Take Your Engagement Session Outdoors

Throughout the wedding planning and engagement session planning process, don’t be afraid to do something different. I am always a fan of my clients wanting to express their personalities and have fun while doing it. An outdoor engagement session also allows the couple to be the center of attention with a beautiful landscape behind you. This Cascade Lake engagement session was a fun way to showcase the couple’s personality while incorporating some of their favorite things to do together. Kara and Dan like to explore, be together and be outdoors. It was perfect.
